As much as I love Cachaça, I find this to remind me too much of of a Brazilian caipirinha cocktail. There is nothing wrong with that, however, Martinique Rum Agricole totally dominates this drink in spite of the lime juice and passion fruit syrup. This is not the traditional Mariano Licudie recipe from the Mai Kai in 1959, I did adjust it to my own tastes.
- 3/4 ounce lime juice
- 1/2 ounce passion fruit syrup
- 1/2 ounce JD Falernum
- 2 ounces Martinique rum
- 1 ounce gold rum
Flash blend al ingredients with 6 ounces of crushed ice, pour into a tall tiki mug.
