Episode #2454 – Jack Rose
A classic cocktail that is easy to mix and appeals to many different tastes is the Jack Rose. Some say it was the bartender from Newark NJ that created it, others say it was named after a mobster in the early 1900s. Either way, it makes great use of Laird’s Applejack, a brandy made from apples. It is the oldest continuous run distillery in the USA. We also visit the Jack Rose Dining Saloon in Washington DC which is the largest Whiskey and Whisky library in the USA.
