Episode #2337
Curaçao left me with a lot of mixed feelings. While it is a beautiful, peaceful country, it is also a place where the people there could sway the feeling either way. What I did find, were some pretty memorable cocktails, one of which was the Kunani. I share my experience about obtaining Cuban Rum, cocktails and dining here.
Kunani is an island term for a sweet girl with great personality who is friendly with everyone and not pretentious. I found this drink on the Cascade Rooftop Cocktail Lounge in Curaçao. The vanilla syrup can be purchased, but we have a recipe that is far better.
INGREDIENTS
- 1/2 ounce Blue Curaçao
- 1/2 ounce Vanilla Syrup
- 1 ounce vodka
- 1 ounce coconut rum
Simply mix all ingredients together, stir or shake. Serve on the rocks. If you are serving this as an after dinner drink, simply put in a small stemmed cordial glass and it can serve 2.
