Happy Hour #125 – Christmas Island

A break from the typical Top 40 Christmas songs you hear on every radio station in every mall and supermarket or shopping center. This is what Christmas is like in a Tropical setting, and I bet you have not heard many of these songs before, or at least not these versions! COCKTAILS

  • Hot Dr. Pepper (Non-alcoholic) – simply heat up a can of Dr. Pepper soda until hot and pour into a coffee mug with slices of lemon. Enjoy this retro treat from the 1960s! Check our YouTube episode about this!
  • Christmas Island Martini – 2 ounce St. Georges Terroir Gin; 1/2 ounce fresh lime juice, 1/2 ounce St. Germain Elderflower Liqueur; 1/4 ounce simple syrup, shake & pour into a stemmed cocktail glass
  • Old Fashioned Christmas – 1.5 ounces good bourbon or rye; 1/4 ounce gingerbread syrup (see recipe); orange bitters and/or orange rind garnish
