Hawaiian Eye

Hawaiian Eye was an American TV series which aired at the height of midcentury pop culture between 1959-1963. The show lasted 4 seasons with 134 episodes. It was outshined by Hawaii 5-0 which was more action packed. Hawaiian Eye had more of a film noir, dramatic sense to it.

All that being said, it is fairly ridiculous, even by early 1960s standards. At times it is so bad you have to be happy you actually watched it. It is chock full of midcentury pop, aloha shirts, cheesy detective scenarios and quite often bad acting. I am not knocking it, I actually love it. If I owned a tiki bar, this would be playing on the wide screen televisions with the volume off, as to not distract from the exotica music.
