Elvis Lives!
We Celebrate the birthday of the King of Rock & Roll with a cocktail and sandwich honoring Elvis Presley!
COCKTAIL INGREDIENTS:
- 3 dashes Angostura bitters
- 3 drops saline solution (3:1 spring water to salt)
- 1/2 ounce fresh lemon juice
- 3/4 ounce pineapple juice (fresh is better)
- 1/4 ounce sugar cane syrup
- 3/4 ounce coconut peanut butter syrup (1 part coconut peanut butter to 2 parts sugar cane syrup)
- 1/2 ounce house banana blend (try 50/50 mix of 99 Bananas with Leroux Cream de Banana)
- 1/2 teaspoon Cruzan blackstrap rum
- 1 teaspoon Hamilton 151 proof Demerara rum
- 1 ounce Plantation Xaymaca rum
- 1 ounce Elijah Craig bourbon
- Shake with 4 Kold Draft cubes, strain into a tiki mug & top with crushed ice
- Garnish with a half pineapple wheel or spear
SANDWICH:
- Coconut peanut butter
- 2 slices white bread
- 4 strips of pre-cooked thick cut bacon (I like Hormel)
- Ripe but fresh banana, thinly sliced
- Toast bread, spread peanut butter on both sides, add banana & bacon.
- put in Panini press or grill in a hot cast iron skillet with unsalted butter.
