Episode #2448 – Midori Colada ミドリ 

Midori is a wonderful melon liqueur developed in Japan by Suntory in 1964.  It was finally introduced into the USA in 1978 when it was introduced at a rap party for Saturday Night Fever at Studio 54 in New York. It became so popular, that they started to produce it in USA and Mexico as well.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1.5 ounces coconut cream (Real Brand)
  • 1.5 ounces silver rum
  • 1.5 ounces Midori Melon liqueur
  • 3 ounces pineapple juice

METHOD

  1. Flash blend all ingredients half cup of ice
  2. Pour into a hurricane or tulip glass half full with crushed ice.
  3. Garnish with pineapple, cherry and/or umbrella
